About Us

Welcome to Together Yoga. The sanksrit word for 'yoga' means to bind or bring together and that's what we are about; bringing people together and bringing yoga to people. Our yoga journeys have been different and have united us so that we can offer different styles of authentic and meaningful practice which stay true to the history and philosophy of yoga. The benefit of not having one fixed location means we have the flexibility to bring our expertise to you. 

 

Through a more traditional practice of meditation, chanting, pranayama and gentle asana, Prasi will take you on an inward journey of self discovery with the goal of complete integration and freedom. Through a more modern practice of dynamic movement and anatomy focused asana Kim will challenge mind and body with the goal of realising your full potential. Everyone is welcome to either or both of our classes; being together makes us stronger.

Kim 

Since qualifying as a yoga teacher I have taught almost 700 hours of private, group, prenatal and kids yoga classes. I am certified with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher and a registered prenatal yoga teacher. I am also a senior yoga teacher at YogaBellies School.  My previous life as a lawyer led me to yoga as a way to relax and de-stress. Once I started to delve deeper into the philosophy of yoga, I was hooked! Yoga is a great way to build your strength and flexibility physically but more importantly, the philosophy of yoga teaches you so much about the way you connect with yourself and with others. I am passionate about yoga and I am passionate about sharing my love for yoga with you!

Prasi

I started my career building the capacity of healthcare providers to improve their medical practice while being mindful of self-care. My interest in the areas of health and education broadened to include more holistic methods, and that is where my journey with yoga began. I have trained in the Sivananda and Krishnamacharya traditions of yoga and Vedic chanting and am also a qualified meditation teacher. Yoga is much more than a physical practice: I Incorporate pranayama, dhyana, and chanting into my personal practice, building my classes with the same philosophy. I aim to create a holistic and deliberate learning environment. The style of practice is primarily Hatha and classes are open to all levels of learners.
